✨ OpenAI Shares their prompting secrets

Happy Thursday!

Today we have a bunch of interesting AI use cases, and an overview of the most interesting AI tools that came out this week.

What we have in store for you today:

  • How to create realistic spoken audio from text

  • How to create a website or landing page within seconds

  • Prompting advice from the makers of ChatGPT

Let’s dive in.

Create realistic audio voice-overs

The days of robotic text-to-speech are over. Now, you can create super realistic audio voices for voice-overs in seconds.

With Elevenlabs, you can enter any text and convert into any type of voice instantly. You can either clone your own voice so that you only have to record something once and then ‘scale’ your voice without multiple recording sessions.

Or you can pick a voice from a big library full of different voices that matches the style you are going for.

It suddenly opens up scenarios that previously were unthinkable because they were not worth the time:

  • Sending a narrated version of your work-reports for people that don’t want to read everything or are hard of hearing.

  • Create a narrated version of your blog article

  • Creating more video content with voice overs

You can test Elevenlabs for free without creating an account. If you're interested in integrating this into your content, we've written a starter guide for you.

Create a website or landing page within minutes

Creating a website in minutes would have sounded like a major red flag a year ago, but today, you can create a solid website or landing page within minutes with Framer.

Here’s how that feature works:

  1. Describe exactly in natural language what you want to create. Explain your business and the kind of page you want to create.

  1. And you’re done.

Of course there is more to it and it will not be perfect, but you can create a great (functional) outline that you build upon. You can also regenerate the page multiple times till it feels right.

If you are not planning on hosting your website on Framer it could already be worth just for the inspiration.

You can try it out for free at Framer.com

ChatGPT Prompting advice by OpenAI

OpenAI just released a new guide on how to prompt effectively, and it contains a lot of insightful advice that is not so obvious.

Here are the key take-aways in OpenAI’s prompting guide:

  1. Split big problems into smaller ones

If you have a big or complicated question, try breaking it into smaller parts.

For example, don’t ask: “write a marketing plan on x”, but first ask “what makes an excellent marketing plan?” and then tackle individually each of the steps of a marketing plan with ChatGPT.

  1. Use examples of your ideal outcome

Providing examples can guide ChatGPT to better answers. It's similar to showing someone an example of what you're talking about to make sure you're both on the same page.

For example, if you have already created a marketing plan then you can use that as example input.

  1. Use reference materials from external sources

If you need to solve a specific problem then you can also bring external sources within ChatGPT to get the job done faster and better.

For example, let’s imagine you are still working on that marketing plan and you are not able to get to the right results with only using ChatGPT.

You can go to reliable source that tells you how to create a solid marketing-plan, for example a CMO with a marketing blog. You can provide this as input for ChatGPT to build upon by simply copying all the information directly into ChatGPT.

  1. Using chain of thought for complex problems (my favourite)

This one's like asking someone to explain their thinking process out loud.

When you're dealing with tough questions, instead of just asking for the final answer, you can ask ChatGPT to show its "chain of thought".

It's like when you're solving a math problem and write down each step. This helps in two ways:

  1. It makes the reasoning of ChatGPT clear, so you can see how it got to the answer.

  2. It’s easier to spot a mistake and correct it to get to your ideal outcome.

This approach also ‘slows down’ ChatGPT's thinking process and can lead to better results.
