✨ The most powerful ChatGPT Feature?
PLUS 6 new & trending AI Tools

Before we dig in, I have a quick favor to ask you.
Each week I spend several hours crafting this email entirely for free. It’d mean the world to me if you could share Workwiz with just 1 person who you think would also enjoy it.
Here’s the link you can copy and paste: https://www.workwiz.ai
Or if you’re feeling lazy, you can just forward this email and tell them to click on that link and subscribe 🙏 🙏.
Let’s get to it.
Why ChatGPT’s document upload is incredibly powerful

You can upload pretty much upload anything to ChatGPT.
Images, pdfs, excel sheets, videos, you name it.
But being able to upload large text-based documents with hundreds of thousand of words and being able to chat with it, is incredibly powerful.
ChatGPT accepts uploads up to 500MB and 2M tokens which is ~2000 pages of text—and that is a lot.
The many use cases of talking with your docs
Before I give you some examples, let’s take a look at how it saved me literally tens of hours the other day.
One of my favorite books is by Alex Hormozi called 100M offers, which is a book about how to create an irresistible offer for your business.
I wanted to create a new offer for a product I’m working on, but I didn’t want to read the book again (it’s been a while).
So what I did instead what upload the 100M Offers book directly to ChatGPT and used the following prompt:
Act like you are Alex Hormozi, the author of $100M OFFERS. Today you will help me craft an irresistible offer for [biz]. You do this based on the contents of your book that I've attached (100Moffers.epub) to this chat. I crafted a great offer in no time, and it was all based on the contents of the book.
This is just a specific example, but there are so many more opportunities it can completely transform the way you work.
Let’s take a look at some of these examples
Become a pro at anything (& create with confidence)
If you want to become better at something, then your best teachers are those who’ve already mastered it.
With file upload we are able to talk to experts by uploading books or documents, like the Hormozi example.
For example, if you want to become better at creating presentation, then you could download the book The Presentation Secrets of Steve Jobs and upload it to ChatGPT.
From that point you can discuss your presentation topic, brainstorm, and get feedback on your ideas. While having an expert ‘look’ over your shoulder.
You can of course also do this without uploading a file, but you will notice that it’s much more generic and way less helpful.
Often the suggestions ChatGPT give you from its default knowledge are not that great, which is sometimes hard to tell with its confident tone.
Uploading your own files is a great way to counter that.
Researching
Researching is often looking for a small thing in a large pool of context, and that is exactly what ChatGPT is great at.
For example, let’s say you need to research a 200-page annual report of a company and you need to find your needle in the haystack—then ChatGPT is your best friend.
Often it helps to describe what kind of file you are uploading and what you are looking for.
I've attached an annual report of [companyName]. I'm looking for any information they share on their marketing activity, and any prospective plans they have for the new year. Be aware that it’s not always 100% right. If it’s extremely important then I would do it manual or double-check it rigorously.
How to use it and best practices
When you open ChatGPT you can click on the file attachment button and upload any file.

Sometimes the file you upload is structured in a way that ChatGPT is not able to read the contents right. A quick way to verify if the data is readable and if you can trust ChatGPT, is to do a ‘needle in the haystack’ test.
Find a specific snippet of information somewhere in the middle of the report. Then, ask ChatGPT about that snippet to see if it correctly pulls out the information.
So, next time you are approaching a work problem, consider if using ChatGPT’s file upload can expedite the solution.
You’ll be surprised how often it can help you out.
